Setup and Procedure

We are trying to determine the fastest slot car in a way that also helps the common rug racer to choose a car for their own track. We will be testing in the following way: three reference courses with similar layout will be built using Scalextric, Carrera, and Ninco tracks. They are all supposed to follow the rather attractive DTM layout that Ninco used to produce in one of their standard sets.

Albert Park

ScalextricThis is the Albert Park race track, Melbourne, in a Scalextric track plan version. The original race track is 5.303 km long, the Scalextric track is a little shorter with its 12.19m and 12.76m - and it's probably a little chillier, too!
